Abbots Langley School is very proud!

I had news today that two of the children at school who play violin had completed their newest grading.
Laura has managed to pass her Grade 1 with distinction, which is very good!

Sophie has managed to pass her Grade 2 with merit, which is also brilliant!

Well done to both of you!

The Christmas Fete 2012

Well, what can I say? Apart from the fact that I enjoyed the Christmas Fete hugely, I was completely blown away by the support shown by the parents, relatives and children of our brilliant school.

Whether it was being used to carry things to and from the garage in the morning, trying to sell tickets for ‘guess the teddy’ or eating all of the leftover jam doughnuts – the children of Abbots Langley School were complete legends and should be very proud of their efforts.

Then we can talk about the adults. Whether we are talking about staff, family of staff or parents and other relatives! These events cannot work without the support of adults, however brilliant our children are! So a huge thanks to all adults who helped with the Fete.

Finally I have to thank ALSA and all of the members. The target they have set for this academic year is a challenging one, however, with the determination they have shown for this event, I believe we will be able to beat it!

We managed to raise £4500 profit, which is just brilliant and will really help with our ideas in school going forward.

See you all soon for a busy week of Christmasy activities, including our Christmas Carol evening this Thursday at 7:00.
